Forest at Mid-day

Took this photo in the woods during mid-day. It was not retouched to change the colors; the light was just right to make the forest look purple. I thought this was so beautiful.

Another Great Week

My brother came to visit last week with family and friends. I've missed him SO much since moving north, and it was good to have time to visit.
We've had some lovely weather between the rainy days and we spent the time wisely; visiting the secret spots we love and lying in the sun. My girls and I took my brother and his group to this spot over the July 4th weekend and had a fantastic time.

My poor brother took a spill in Lake Superior and his camera got soaked--not to mention everything else. He has a good sense of humor though--he shook it off and we still had a great time exploring the shoreline. The big lake is cold and invigorating even on the hottest summer days here. Ask my brother--he'll vouch for that!
